Useful Tips

AIR CONDITIONERS

  • When buying new air conditioning unit, choose the proper size & capacity suited for the room.
  • Clean the air filter regularly, at least once a month. This will help air conditioner to operate more efficiently.
  • Keep all doors & windows closed, to avoid warm air passing through inside the room.  

REFRIGERATORS / FREEZERS

  • For the most efficient operation, defrost the freezing compartment when the frost builds up about 5 mm thick.
  • Frequent door opening will cause higher energy consumption and will speed up frost accumulation. Open the door only when necessary.
  • Store foodstuffs with spaces in between to have good air circulation.
  • Wrap or cover fish, smoked meats & others foul smelling foods in a moisture-vapor-proof material to prevent transfer of bad odor.
  • Always cover foods and liquid container to prevent rapid accumulation of frost.
  • Avoid putting of beverage cans and bottles in the freezer compartment to prevent breakage.
  • Condensation is normal when ambient humidity is high. Just wipe off the drops of water on the exterior wall of the cabinet.

TELEVISION

  • Set the television on an eye level in order to avoid eye strain.
  • View from a distance at least 5 times the width of the TV screen.
  • Make sure that television is properly installed and antenna properly adjusted. 
  • Unplug this appliance during lightning storms or when unused for long period of time.

WASHING MACHINE

  • Don’t overload the machine, doing so will cause the clothes to be incompletely cleaned and it may even damage the machine.
  • Follow the instruction for pouring bleach, so as not to damage the clothes.
  • Never put hands into the wash/spin tub while operating.

GENERAL TIPS

  • Be sure to read the instruction manual before using the appliance.
  • Plug-in the appliance only on its specified voltage range.
  • Never disconnect by pulling the cord. Hold the plug then pull it out.
  • When the appliance will not be used for long period of time, it is advisable to disconnect the AC power cord to AC outlet.
  • Don't connect multiple appliances in one electrical outlet.
  • Don't allow unauthorized and unqualified service technician to repair defective product.
  • Don't use too old appliance.
